The Data Services team at Akamai develops reliable, scalable cloud-native services using the Akamai Cloud platform.

Partner with the best

As a Senior II Software Engineer, design, develop, deploy, and maintain telemetry systems for a cloud platform. Collaborate within a cross-functional Scrum team to create services and products supporting thousands of Akamai customers.

As a Senior II Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Taking ownership of technical strategy, architecture, and product innovation through impactful proof-of-concepts and solutions.
• Designing and developing scalable observability tools for monitoring, optimizing, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborating across teams, fostering positivity, enhancing performance through communication and shared accountability.
• Improving release quality and deployment efficiency by collaborating with developers on performance and integration enhancements.
• Ensuring testing excellence and CI/CD practices for high-quality product delivery with minimal disruption.
• Utilizing containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native workload development.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years' experience with a bachelor's degree or its equivalent
• Possess deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Docker, Helm charts, and other containerization/cloud-native technologies.
• Demonstrate expertise in Go, Java, or Python and experience across all stages of SDLC lifecycle.
• Build cloud-native services, infrastructure, deployments, and adapt seamlessly to diverse cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management utilizing Terraform.
• Excel in problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration; adapt to learning in dynamic environments.
• Work with Azure/AWS/GCP, REST APIs, SQL/Databases, and cloud security practices; design scalable solutions.
