The team's mission is to serve as trusted advisors to enterprise technology leaders, empowering them to build, scale, and secure high-performance applications by unifying Akamai's distributed cloud, AI-ready infrastructure, and zero-trust security from core to edge.

Lead from the Front

In this role, you will lead our efforts to engage with the Security Community in the APJ region. You will be a key voice in telling our comprehensive Security story to customers. You will also partner with our sales teams to bring the voice of the customer back into the Product Development organization.

As a Security Field CTO, you will be responsible for:

• Operating as a focal point for security products within the region and assisting with Sales efforts
• Developing a community of customers across the region that will provide feedback on Product Roadmaps and assist decisions
• Leading specific engagements with journalists and Industry Analysts in support of the PR/AR teams
• Speaking at events to discuss both industry trends within security as well as the Akamai Product Portfolio
• Educating the region's customer facing organizations on emerging trends within the security space

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field or its equivalent
• Enjoy working cross-functionally with field teams, customers, partners, and C-Suite stakeholders (including CISOs) to drive product strategy
• Be an expert in edge-native security, Zero Trust architecture, and shrinking complex enterprise attack surfaces
• Understand distributed & Workload Security: Possess deep expertise in securing diverse workloads, enforcing Zero Trust frameworks, and protecting edge and hybrid environments against emerging threats.
• Understand AI Runtime Defense: possess knowledge of the security challenges of live AI models and agentic workflows
• Have experience evangelizing and driving cybersecurity, edge defense, and technical initiatives across the broader tech community.
• Possess an executive presence and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Have experience building, managing and developing high performing teams
