AirCounsel is a fast-growing legal-tech company with two sides to the business:
- AirCounsel — human, AI-augmented legal services for end-clients. Real lawyers handling business formation, compliance, contract work and more, with AI in the loop to deliver faster and more affordably than a traditional firm.
- HyperCounsel — AI tools built for lawyers. Our flagship product is an AI-powered Microsoft Word add-in for contract review, redlining and negotiation, used by South African and international law firms.
We are founder-led and now scaling our acquisition channels. We rely heavily on Google Ads today, are actively building out LinkedIn Ads, Instagram and the like, and have recently launched outbound cold email. We are hiring a senior digital marketer to own all of it across both brands.
About the role
This is a hands-on, full-stack digital marketing role. You will own paid search and paid social, set up and optimise outbound campaigns, run our SEO and content motion, and report on what is working back to revenue. You will work directly with the founders and software devs. There is no marketing team yet, so you will be the first dedicated marketing hire, with the budget and autonomy to build this function from the ground up.
Remote, full-time, 9am to 5pm SAST. You must be based in South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day management of our Google Ads account across Search, Performance Max, Display and YouTube: keyword strategy, ad copy testing, bid management, conversion tracking and asset optimisation.
- Scale our LinkedIn Ads programme: campaign builds, audience targeting (job titles, firmographics, account lists), creative testing, lead-gen forms and attribution.
- Build and run outbound cold email campaigns: list building, ICP segmentation, sequence writing, deliverability management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warm-up) and reply workflows.
- Own analytics and reporting: GA4, PostHog, conversion tracking across web and product, weekly pipeline contribution and channel-level ROAS reports.
- Manage Meta, Instagram, and other paid social channels where they fit the funnel.
- Build, send and optimise email marketing (nurture, lifecycle, transactional). Manage the CRM and marketing automation stack.
- Brief and review creative, and either produce it yourself or coordinate with freelancers.
Qualifications

Required:

- 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience.
- 2+ years personally managing Google Ads accounts with meaningful spend.
- Demonstrable track record of building and optimising paid acquisition funnels end-to-end, not just managing campaigns inside someone else's strategy.
- Strong analytical skills. Comfortable in GA4 and spreadsheets. Able to build a dashboard and reason about marginal ROAS, CAC and LTV.
- Excellent written English. Your copy is part of your craft.
- Based in South Africa and available 9am to 5pm SAST.
- Working fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate output.
