What a Frontend Software Engineer Does at Agrigistics

As an Intermediate to Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Agrigistics, you won’t be a small cog in a giant machine. You'll be a key architect of our user experience, taking ownership of what we build and how we build it.

• You'll build what matters: You will implement designs and develop the core components of the Agrigistics platform, driving complex features from concept to deployment and ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and loved by our clients.
• You'll champion a modern workflow: You will use and advocate for the best tools for the job, including AI assistants, to improve development speed and code quality for you and the team.
• You'll shape the product: You’ll work closely with a tight-knit team and help guide the technical direction of our product. Your input on our code, architecture, and processes will be critical to our evolution.
• You'll own your work: You will have the autonomy to take initiative, make key technical decisions, and contribute to a codebase you can be proud of.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary starting around R40,000 per month, with the final offer adjusted based on your skills and experience level.

Who We Are Looking For

We're looking for a pragmatic and experienced engineer who is excited to build, collaborate, and grow with us. You're the right person for this role if you have:

• A solid track record: 2-5 years of experience building complex web applications. What matters more than the number is your proven ability to handle complexity and ship features independently. Experience with Angular or Vue is a big plus.
• Deep AI Integration: AI isn't just a gimmick for you; it's a core part of how you think, code, and solve problems. You should be able to articulate how AI helps you accelerate development, improve code quality, and tackle more complex challenges.
• A deep sense of ownership: You take responsibility for your work from start to finish. You have a "figure-it-out" mentality and are comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver results.
• A love for problem-solving: You enjoy diving into a good challenge and can translate complex requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• A collaborative spirit: You thrive in a small team, can articulate your technical decisions clearly, and enjoy working together to find the best solutions.
