Senior Software Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to support enterprise‑scale banking systems. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and supporting reliable, secure mainframe applications that power critical business processes. 🏦

Responsibilities

• Implement new software features while maintaining quality, security, and performance standards
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and Agile ceremonies
• Partner with teammates to research, troubleshoot, and resolve system and customer issues
• Support migration, testing, and modernization activities
• Follow established engineering best practices while identifying improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and application development fundamentals
• Experience with Agile business analysis, testing, and migration work
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Working knowledge of Git or GitHub
• Understanding of the full SDLC and secure coding standards
