About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer I to join our dynamic team at LexisNexis. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience for key products and services, leading the design strategy to ensure an intuitive, engaging, and user-centered approach. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and researchers, to translate user insights and business requirements into compelling design solutions. Your expertise will help foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, as you mentor junior designers and influence product development from conception through implementation. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of user-centered design processes and strong interaction design skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Human Factors Engineering and user-centered design methodologies is essential. You should have the ability to analyze data from analytics, customer insights, and research sources to inform design decisions effectively. Experience establishing metrics and utilizing data to guide iterative improvements is required. Expertise in design software such as Axure, Sketch, and InVision is necessary, along with the ability to produce designs across multiple platforms. Strong problem-solving, innovative thinking, collaboration, and mentoring skills are vital to succeed in this role. A proven track record of leading design initiatives and working in fast-paced, agile environments will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the design strategy for a specific business or product line, aligning user experience goals with business objectives.
• Deeply understand customer use cases and advocate for their needs throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Create and implement processes that effectively identify customer needs and uncover design opportunities.
• Partner with UX Research teams to gather insights, analyze user behavior, and apply findings to enhance design solutions.
• Manage and deliver user-centered design artifacts, including wireframes, prototypes, and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Utilize analytics, customer feedback, and testing results to inform ongoing design improvements and future strategic directions.
• Conduct and iterate user testing in collaboration with UX Research teams to validate design effectiveness and usability.
• Mentor junior designers, fostering professional growth and encouraging best practices within the team.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with technical and product teams to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
