💼The opportunity:

We are looking for a Data Scientist III with a strong focus on Generative AI projects.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise on GenAI systems with leadership responsibilities and solid foundations in Data Science. You will be expected to design, build, and deliver production-ready GenAI solutions while serving as a key technical reference for the team.

💻Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver end-to-end Generative AI solutions based on business requirements, evaluating feasibility, risks, and trade-offs;
• Own the technical architecture of GenAI systems, including: System and infrastructure design; Prompt engineering and context optimization; Agent-based AI workflows; Model serving and integration into production systems;
• Apply software engineering best practices, MLOps, and DevOps principles to GenAI and ML projects;
• Ensure observability, monitoring, and performance evaluation of GenAI and ML systems in production;
• Lead reproducible experimentation and drive continuous improvements of AI models and pipelines;
• Understand business context and translate it into scalable technical solutions;
• Act as a technical leader, mentoring junior data scientists and engineers;
• Communicate technical decisions, limitations, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Proactively challenge existing processes and contribute to improving engineering and delivery practices;
• Independently prioritize tasks based on impact, urgency, and business value.

🛠️ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar;
• Previous experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer (3+ years);
• Strong, hands-on experience in Generative AI projects, including: Deep understanding of how generative models and LLMs work; GenAI system design and context engineering; agentic AI patterns; model serving and production integration;
• Proficient in Python, with strong software engineering skills;
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices (testing, release, deployment) and Git-based workflows;
• Knowledge of MLOps, DevOps, and model observability techniques;
• Advanced expertise in at least one additional data science area, such as: Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Time Series Forecasting; Optimization; Causal Inference; Computer Vision;
• Basic knowledge of other data science domains, even if not used daily;
• Ability to clearly explain AI results, limitations, and risks to diverse audiences;
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills;
• Fluent in both Italian and English (B2);
