By joining our team, you will:

• Build and optimize robust automation workflows that orchestrates Ava functioning in n8n, ensuring scalability and high performance.
• Develop and maintain core microservices in Node.js, Python, and Ruby on Rails that power Ava’s advanced capabilities.
• Develop and maintain Ava's Backoffice System, enabling management of all users and accounts while providing visibility into system operations to systematically improve Ava's reliability.
• Build and maintain a dashboard that gives Ava's users advanced configuration features while providing managers with visibility and control over team performance and ROI metrics.
• Integrate Ava with different platforms, expanding her reach and versatility.
• Collaborate with other teams and participate in strategic discussions that will define the future of Ava—and reshape the landscape of consultative sales in Brazil and beyond.

Your role and skillset

Your mission as a Software Engineer for & Automations at Ava's team is to architect and implement the technology that is redefining the future of sales operations. You will work closely with Ava’s leadership (CRO, CTO), engineering, product, and business teams to deliver robust, scalable, and intelligent solutions that empower sales professionals across Brazil and beyond.

You will:

• Create, optimize, and orchestrate complex automation workflows using n8n, integrating multiple Cloud Services and messaging systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices in Node.js, Python, and Ruby on Rails, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Lead the integration of AI services (such as OpenAI, Google and other AI Providers) into Ava, enabling smarter automations, conversational interfaces, and real-time insights for users.
• Consume, improve and maintain high-quality, well-documented RESTful APIs and micro-services, ensuring seamless data flow between Ava and third-party systems.
• Model and manage NoSQL and SQL databases, designing efficient schemas and queries to support Ava’s growing ecosystem.
• Work with Docker and Linux to provision and deploy services, contributing to a robust, automated, and scalable infrastructure.
• Implement and support webhooks, messaging services, and event-driven automations to guarantee responsive and reliable operations.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary sprints, participating in code reviews, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the evolution of Ava as an AI Agent, shaping new features and integrations that set benchmarks for the market.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with distributed data architectures.
• Deep knowledge of Design Patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Practical experience building AI Agents, data pipelines for AI, chatbots, or digital assistants.
• Hands-on involvement in projects using Large Language Models (LLMs) or applied AI for automation and productivity.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in backend engineering and systems integration.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building automations with n8n.
• Proven experience with Node.js, Python, and/or Ruby on Rails for backend and microservices development.
• Advanced knowledge of NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB), including modeling, querying, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript / ECMAScript 6.
• Deep experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Strong experience working in Docker and Linux environments for development and deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of the HTTP protocol and web integrations.
• Practical experience integrating multiple SaaS platforms (CRM, ERP, messaging, etc.).
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering best practices
• Demonstrated ability to consume and integrate AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Google AI, etc.).
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (for orchestration, when required).
• Familiarity with vibe-coding and Agentic Coding IDEs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Results-driven, digitally organized, adaptable, and a strong team player.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a business-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary, agile teams.
• Advanced English (reading, writing, and technical conversation).

Differentiators

• Experience with architecture of microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with AI agents, chatbots, or automation projects involving LLMs.
• Familiarity with building data pipelines for AI or analytics.
• Prior experience in SaaS, B2B, or sales tech environments.
