We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Planner. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team responsible for managing test submissions from a wide range of customer groups and supporting the delivery of world-class engineering programmes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and coordinating test activities across a variety of facilities, supporting the validation of Powertrain systems from base calibration through to certification and legislative compliance.

This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across the business, develop strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to projects within an iconic engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional planning meetings and project forums to support effective test delivery.
• Managing daily project planning activities, including status updates and planning tools such as Wrike and JIRA.
• Working closely with internal customers to manage test facility forecasts and future requirements.
• Supporting the creation, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive test plans through effective scheduling of internal and external test facilities.
• Monitoring test progress, timing adherence, and departmental KPIs, providing accurate reporting and updates.
• Supporting detailed requirements capture from internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of internal processes and documentation.
• Proactively identifying risks, supporting issue resolution, and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
• Communicating project updates, challenges, and recommendations clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience in project planning, management, and control.
• Experience within automotive powertrain testing, vehicle testing, development, validation, or certification environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence in presenting complex technical information, project issues, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• The ability to remain focused and effective under pressure.
• A proactive approach with the willingness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
• A customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
