Automation Software Engineer

Automation Software Engineer - Advantest America, Inc.
Location: Can work remotely, but would prefer a candidate residing in Austin, TX
** This is six month minimum contracting role. There may be some travel within the US.

Job Overview
You will be contributing to factory automation software product development consisting of factory host interface, tester interface, and operator interface. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve system performance. This role requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and frameworks, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

• Computer Science (BSCS), BS Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience
• Strong programming skills in C++, C#, and SQL.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in automation practices.
• Software development experience in C++, Python, Qt, Tcl/Tk
• Red Hat/CentOs Linux operating system administration (networking, rpm installation/creation, etc.)
• Linux shell commands and scripts
• SQL databases
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Networking TCP/IP
• SOAP web services
• Code refactoring and migration
• Revision control systems (ex. Subversion, Git)

Additional Skills / Experience (nice to have)

• Windows development experience
• Graphical User Interface skills
• Basic understanding of Semiconductor test.
• Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) experience (e.g. V93000)
• Basic Understanding of SECS/GEM factory automation SEMI standards

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
