Software Engineer - AI

About this Role

We're seeking a Software Engineer (20-30 hrs/week, paid) to work on production AI projects that go beyond demos. You'll implement AI solutions that businesses actually use, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies in live environments. This is a Part Time role with opportunity for Full Time employment for exceptional team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Build production AI systems for real client businesses
• Gather requirements and implement AI solutions that solve genuine business problems
• Design and deploy N8N workflows that integrate AI agents into existing processes
• Develop custom JavaScript/TypeScript functions for AI-powered automation
• Deploy solutions to cloud environments with proper monitoring and reliability
• Work with clients to understand their challenges and deliver measurable results

Who We're Looking For

Background: 3-5 years of professional software development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Required Skills:

• Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript and system design experience
• Proficiency with N8N (workflow creation, custom nodes, configurations)
• RESTful API development and authentication systems (OAuth, JWT, API keys)
• Containerisation (Docker), Linux administration, and networking fundamentals
• Scripting languages (Python, Bash) and version control (Git)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Skills: Node.js ecosystem, AI/ML integrations (OpenAI API, Hugging Face), database systems, monitoring tools.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, independent work style, excellent communication, and technical documentation skills.
