Advanced Systems Group, LLC (ASG) provides managed services for a large tech video-sharing platform. We are seeking a prompt engineer/visual designer to join our team, working with our client remotely to use appearance and makeup effects to launch a new asset for video creators. This position will work closely with a diverse team of designers, artists, and engineers to explore the creative potential of AI and push the boundaries of visual expression.

The ideal candidate is a primarily visual designer with experience in cosmetic/makeup fields. This is a full time remote temporary engagement through 12/31/2025.

Job Responsibilities:

Research, explore, and execute visual design and illustration for AR appearance (e.g. makeup) and/or interactive effects to be used in client’s effects portfolio, optimized for the global market.
Present concept idea deck to key stakeholders in a live teleconference.
Problem solve and iterate to address all client feedback and creative direction, with the ability to explain all design decisions/best practices in this market.
Create and deliver effect files based on client spec requirements and industry best practices.
Use effect creation tools to best create and test the assets.
Animate gif samples of the effect using an effect creation tool (e.g. Effect House, Lens Studio) on 2 to 3 different models with different skin tones or environments in order to ensure broad market success.
Track all ongoing work in an up-to-date document to clearly convey status, notes, and links to work in-flight, and provide clients with updates regularly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in prompt engineering and visual AI.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
5-7 years of experience as a visual or graphic designer.
Experience in digital illustration like Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Procreate
Proven experience in Appearance Effects and Motion Graphics with a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity, visual storytelling skills, and design expertise.
Background in 3-D animation is a plus.
Experience/expertise in Cosmetics and Make Up Effects.
Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
Experience with effect creation tools like Effect House or Lens Studio.

Compensation & Benefits:

This temporary full-time role offers a salary of $85,000 - $98,000 annually depending on experience.
