Senior Interaction Designer / User Researcher

Our federal government client, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR) is seeking experienced User researchers / Interaction designers with a dual skillset, working across both disciplines to understand and translate our complex business needs into intuitive user experience.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience and understanding of UX research methodologies and end to end UX/UI process.
2. Demonstrated experience creating high-quality, compelling design concepts and artefacts including prototypes, archetypes, journey maps etc.
3. Effective communication skills with the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders, and clearly articulate design decisions through a well-conceived rationale.
4. Experience collaborating with others to translate findings from usability testing into actionable improvements to a user interface.
5. Knowledge of Accessibility requirements - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Inclusive design process.
Desirable
1. Experience working within an agile IT delivery team.
2. Tertiary Qualifications in a design related discipline (Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web development etc.)
