🌎 Project Details / Scope of the Role:

This position is part of the Sustaining Engineering team for the Precision Dispatch System (PDS 1.0) at Wabtec – an enterprise-level Train Control System that plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient train operations across the global rail network.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to corrective and evolutionary maintenance of a mission-critical system.
• Take ownership of bug fixing and production support, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with a distributed, multicultural team across the US, Latin America, and Bangalore (India).
• Gain exposure to large-scale, real-world transportation systems with high impact on safety and efficiency.

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of experience with C++ programming
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and software development environments.
• Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills in C++ (ideally with some exposure to Java).
• Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English level, required for daily communication with the global team.
