We’re working with an innovative British technology team on behalf of a forward‑thinking organisation to find a Senior Software Engineer (Python) who is excited about building scalable platforms and working with modern, AI‑driven architectures.

The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and building scalable services and APIs that power an automated code modernisation and migration platform. The role involves large‑scale analysis, transformation, and orchestration of legacy systems, using modern engineering practices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable Python microservices and APIs
• Supporting and wrapping agentic workflows
• Building and interacting with MCP services and tools
• Ensuring backend services are robust, well‑tested, and production‑ready
• Contributing to agentic architecture discussions and technical decision‑making

What We’re Looking For:

Must‑have experience:

• Strong Python engineering skills (clean, testable, production‑grade code)
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of software design principles and systems thinking
• Genuine interest in GenAI and agentic systems

Nice to have:

• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, or prompt engineering
• Familiarity with MCP or agent tool‑serving patterns
• Git workflow automation or experience with GitHub / GitLab APIs
• Understanding of how agents interact with external tools and services
• Some exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
• Experience in container‑native environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
