The Role

We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for our Transaction Experience team in Edinburgh. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and evolving critical services that power our financial data ecosystem, while helping to modernize our architecture.

Our team is focused on building outstanding user experiences, powerful APIs, and sophisticated analysis tools for our global customer base of Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our platform by implementing robust solutions that scale across multiple regions, enhance user experiences, and establish processes for maintaining core functionality for our platform at scale.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to our long-term vision for achieving a modern, service-based architecture
Be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team
Own front to back software features from inception through delivery
Contribute to architecture designs, product roadmaps, and code reviews
Analyse and dive deep into a complex and powerful ecosystem, understanding requirements, determining optimal approaches and driving change
Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack
Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers and stakeholders
Mentor and set the bar for an impactful team working in the core of Addepar

Who You Are

Extensive experience building services in a professional environment
Experience building services with Java, Mysql and AWS
Experience of frontend frameworks like Ember, Angular or React. We use Ember, so you need to be motivated by learning Ember if experience is with other technologies
Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems
A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
A curious person, who enjoys digging deep into requirements and handling complexity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to the best software development practices
Enjoys working in an office, collaborating face to face with colleagues, while working remotely with colleagues across the globe
Interest or experience in the financial industry or wealth management
