Junior Graphic Designer

Role Description The Junior Graphic Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo. This role involves supporting the design team by creating visual assets for digital and print channels, including social media graphics, marketing collateral, presentations, and internal communication materials. The Junior Graphic Designer will assist in developing brand-consistent layouts, selecting typography and color palettes, and preparing production-ready files. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with marketing and operations teams, following brand guidelines, iterating on feedback, and managing multiple design requests with attention to detail and deadlines. The role also requires basic file management, maintaining design libraries, and staying informed about current design trends relevant to the company’s clients and services.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Graphic Design and Graphics, with the ability to translate concepts into clear, engaging visual content.
• Skills in Logo Design and Branding to support the development and maintenance of consistent brand identities.
• Knowledge of Typography and layout principles to create readable, aesthetically balanced designs.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or equivalent).
• Portfolio demonstrating creative work across digital and/or print media at a junior or entry level.
• Attention to detail, openness to feedback, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
