Intermediate Software Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an intermediate software developer to join an industry leading wealth management company (with global presence), working exclusively on a first-of-its-kind investment platform.

This Intermediate Software Developer role is Mauritius-based (remote working).

This established Investment & Asset Management firm is a recognised leader in financial services, employing more than 500 professionals across South Africa, Mauritius, and London. As part of their continued growth, they are investing heavily in technology and building a new financial services platform designed to help accounting firms identify and unlock opportunities for their clients.

Their Software Engineering team is small, highly skilled, and empowered to make an impact, offering the opportunity to work on a greenfield product alongside experienced engineers.

THE ROLE

As an Intermediate Software Developer, you'll help design, develop, and enhance a greenfield SaaS platform that enables accounting firms to unlock new revenue opportunities across wealth management, lending, insurance, foreign exchange, and estate planning.

Working closely with a highly experienced engineering team, you'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable platform features, integrating with external systems, and helping shape a product with significant market potential. This is a hands-on full stack role offering exposure to modern software engineering practices, cloud-native development, financial services technology, and product ownership in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years' software development experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Strong API development and integration experience within production environments
• Solid SQL skills with PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or similar relational databases
• Experience building cloud-based applications on Azure, AWS, or similar platforms
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and modern engineering practices
• Experience within fintech, payments, wealth management, SaaS, or other data-intensive environments advant ageous
