Clinical & Marketing Lead

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Clinical and Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role at the intersection of clinical training, customer experience, and commercial strategy. This individual will manage a team of Clinical Managers responsible for in-field education and support of physicians and nursing staff. Additionally, this role will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive awareness, adoption, and customer engagement with our device.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Included but not limited to)

Clinical Management (60%)

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Clinical Managers (employees and consultants) who travel to hospitals and surgical centers to train end users.
  • Oversee the development and standardization of clinical training programs, materials, and protocols.
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent support for healthcare providers, optimizing device adoption and satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D and Product teams to gather clinical feedback and contribute to product improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).
  • Build, maintain, and grow clinical and account relationships
  • Communicate professionally with all customer groups
  • Maintain flexibility to meet the needs of a growing business
  • Keep up to date on care of the critically ill patient, specifically around urine output and the early detection and recognition of Acute Kidney Injury Attend assigned National Conferences & Exhibitions
  • Assist with business development of all products within clinical scope of practice
  • Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other clinical professionals within the hospital setting.
  • Work closely with the entire sales team as a clinical liaison providing clinical support to all accounts in the US as needed
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic plan for the territories that have clinical coverage
  • Must understand and abide by FDA guidelines for manufacturers
  • Assist clinicals with product positioning, analysis, and implementation within new and established accounts
  • Development and implementation of best practice clinical training for clinical staff – internal and external
  • Use existing tools and guidelines to provide clear product education and assist with development of educational tools to meet customer needs as learning tool deficits are identified.
  • Make prudent economic decisions regarding travel
  • Serve as a role model for all expense-related decisions; follow corporate travel policy and enforce with direct reports

Marketing Leadership (40%)

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives that align with company goals.
  • Maintain and be the SME on the company’s CRM (HubSpot).
  • Be responsible for compelling messaging, collateral, and digital content to support clinical value and competitive positioning.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and presence at industry conferences or symposiums.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Clinical teams to ensure consistent brand and clinical messaging.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to refine marketing strategies.
  • Help further scale Accuryn inside of current customer base: devices and catheters
  • Perform additional responsibilities or other functions as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5–8 years of experience in clinical education, medical device marketing, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership experience managing small teams.
  • Deep understanding of the hospital environment and experience working directly with physicians and nurses.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience in presenting clinical material to group of clinicians
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Able to travel by car and air
  • Strong in relationship building and maintenance
  • Comfortable in hospital setting - Mainly ICU and OR
  • Knowledge of sterile environment
  • Must be able to travel domestically up to 30% of work time (possibly travel internationally)
  • Must be able to meet hospital credentialing requirements.
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA’s Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, ISO 14971, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which Accuryn Medical complies.

EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree required in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, or Business).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
