Mid-level Software engineer with C++/ Linux with Multithreading

A Chicago-based Trading firm is looking to hire a Mid-Level C++/Linux engineer with Multithreading and, ideally, trading experience. This role will be joining an existing team, backend real-time API's for their software solution. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated multitasker with at least 2 years working with C++ in a Linux environment. Ideally, working with FIX or integrations with trading exchanges. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks, and have outstanding communication.

Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Support, test, and deployment of new products and features

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• Prior experience working on trading or clearing applications
• 2+ years of experience with C++/Linux
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Multi-threaded applications
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies will be a plus
• FIX, SGX or TCP/ UDP

Compensation:

• 110-130K
• unlimited PTO

This role is ideally looking for someone local to Chicago, but will consider someone fully remote. The company is unable to sponsor or provide a visa transfer at this time. This is a full-time direct hire role and cannot support C2C.
