Job Description
Our client is one of the largest IT service providers for banking in Germany managing approximately 86.3 million accounts and 164,000 bank workstations across Volksbank und Raiffeisenbank, as well as around 100 private banks like Sparda-Bank and other companies. As a full-service provider and competence center for bank-related IT solutions, they offer a broad range of services, including app development, mainframe support, consulting, and migration projects, all while being a key part of the Cooperative Financial Network.
About the project
You will have the opportunity to join one of our current projects for one of Europe's leader in financial services solutions. This job opening is part of a 2nd level support team.
Your team
We are a team of more than 40 Application Support Engineers. At the moment, we are growing, looking forward in taking more responsibilities, hence the new opening. The team members are vibrant, proactive, and always there to help you.
Responsibilities
- Resolve Application Errors: You will check application logs to identify issues and provide solutions or escalate to 3rd level support, ensuring quick resolution to minimize impact on operations.
- Streamline Event Management: You will independently manage event processing in alignment with support processes, making sure that all incidents are tracked and resolved in an organized manner to minimize downtime.
- Resolve Complex Issues: You will handle escalated fault reports from 1st level support, working to quickly restore the defined operating status and minimize downtime.
- Strengthen Incident Recovery: You will lead support for incident management, ensuring quick service recovery, thorough documentation, and timely tracking to keep operations on track.
- Implement Process Improvements: You will be responsible for implementing and documenting standardized changes and emergency drills, ensuring consistency and compliance in all procedures for system updates and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a similar support role
- Experience with Graylog for log management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Understanding of IT platforms and data center operations with knowledge of technical structures and services.
- Reliable, committed, and team-oriented, with the flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
- Business fluency in German (C1) and good English skills (B2).
