Software Engineer

Job Title: C# & AWS Developer (Contract) – Remote

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: Fully Remote (UK Based)

Rate: £375-£400 Outside IR35

Start Date: 1 week

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced C# Developer with strong AWS expertise to support a fast-paced development team working on scalable, cloud-based applications. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a contractor who thrives in a modern, agile environment and can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#/.NET (Core or 6+)
• Build and deploy scalable applications on AWS
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong C#/.NET development background (ideally .NET Core/6+)
• Proven experience designing and deploying systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS) including services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
• Hands-on with CI/CD, infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Unit and integration testing (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, Moq)
• Git version control and Agile methodologies
