NOTE: Two separate positions are listed below. Qualcomm Snapdragon experience is required for both roles. The role will begin onsite in Melbourne, FL, and will transition to remote once you are fully up to speed.

🔹 Position 1: Senior Software Engineer – Embedded AI & Image Processing (Qualcomm Snapdragon Required)

Acara Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the development of advanced image-processing algorithms and AI-driven solutions on embedded platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, strong software engineering expertise, and deep proficiency with OpenCV.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of AI-enabled embedded systems, integrating hardware, software, and algorithms
• Support hardware engineering teams during board design reviews
• Define and document system and software architecture, communication interfaces, and hardware integration
• Implement, debug, and optimize embedded applications on Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs
• Develop and maintain software in C/C++ on Ubuntu 22.xx (or comparable Linux)
• Use Python for prototyping, data processing, and AI workflows
• Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Use Git, JIRA, and Confluence for version control, project tracking, and documentation
• Conduct code reviews, create technical documentation, and share knowledge within the team
• Communicate project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

🔹 Position 2: Software Engineer – Embedded Image Processing & AI (Qualcomm Snapdragon Required)

Acara Solutions is also seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of embedded image-processing and AI solutions. This position requires proficiency in implementing solutions on Qualcomm Snapdragon hardware, strong OpenCV experience, and the ability to work across the software development life cycle.
