Software Engineer

Our client is a HK based proprietary trading firm and asset manager specializing in systematic arbitrage across global equities, futures, and options. It’s now seeking a self-motivated software engineer who excels in fast-paced environments in Shenzhen.

The Role – Mid-Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities And Priorities:

• Develop high-quality software solutions for proprietary trading activities that will make an impact on the business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

The Profile – Your Expertise

Experience, Ability And Knowledge:

• University degree in STEM or relevant field
• A self-motivated individual who excels in fast-paced environments
• Quick to learn with strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communicator with good organizational skills
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in financial trading domain
• Previous work experience in a quantitative trading firm
• Experience working in any of the following: Pricing, Algo Trading, Market Data, Execution Connectivity, Risk, Post Trade
• Linux development

Your Skills:

• Experienced in any or all of the following: C++, Python, Go
• Experience with message queues
• Experience with SQL, GraphQL and REST APIs
• FIX for execution connectivity experience
