Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product development initiatives and maximize return on investment. In this role, you will transform ideas into product strategies and future roadmaps, overseeing the development process from concept through to launch and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement product strategies aligned with the company's vision, objectives, and growth plans.

  • Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to define product requirements, features, and end-user solutions.

  • Work closely with senior management to develop product plans, roadmaps, and long-term product strategies.

  • Lead product development activities and coordinate cross-functional teams across concept, commercial, project management and other relevant teams.

  • Produce, maintain, and review product specification documents.

  • Write detailed product specifications across all product categories and ensure alignment with customer and business needs.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept and development through to delivery.

  • Work at speed, delivering products to brief for simultaneous customer tenders.

  • Ensure products & promotions are delivered on schedule, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.

  • Collaborate with commercial teams to support product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market activities.

  • Make creative recommendations to expand the product portfolio and strengthen the overall product vision.

  • Suggest and support implementing new processes in line with department KPIs.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities throughout the product development process and develop mitigation plans where required.

  • Present product updates, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the merchandising team in the Far East, collaborating on product development, sourcing, costing, and production activities to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Mentor and support junior product team members, promoting best practices in product management.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role

  • Experience in product lifecycle management

  • Organisational abilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • Creative thinking skills

  • Experience in consumer goods (preferably Arts, Crafts, Stationery, Gift) – desired, not essential

  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing a team.
