The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior SEM & SEO Specialist to join our team on a full-time remote basis. You will be responsible for leading our paid and organic search strategy, driving inbound lead generation, and ensuring our digital footprint aligns with best practices in both traditional and AI-powered search.
This role is exclusively focused on B2B Digital Marketing – particularly Google PPC, on-page and off-page SEO, and emerging trends in AI-driven search. You will report directly to our Marketing Director and collaborate closely with content and web development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimise B2B SEO strategies (technical, on-page, and off-page) to drive qualified traffic and improve domain authority.
- Plan and manage Google Ads campaigns with a focus on lead generation and ROI.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance audits using industry-standard tools.
- Stay ahead of evolving search trends, including Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE), voice search, and AI search behaviours.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align search strategy with content, UX, and business objectives.
- Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Identify and execute link-building opportunities aligned with our brand and market.
- Ensure all activity aligns with best practices for the Australian market.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a dedicated SEO/SEM role (preferably B2B focused).
- Demonstrated expertise in managing successful Google Ads campaigns.
- Deep understanding of SEO principles: technical SEO, schema markup, E-E-A-T, site structure, and modern link acquisition.
- Experience with AI tools and a strong grasp of how AI is changing search (e.g. generative search, LLMs, conversational search).
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Ads, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and GA4.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to produce or collaborate on marketing content.
- Experience targeting the Australian market is strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects independently.
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience in Microsoft Cloud, SaaS, or technology services sectors.
