We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Retention Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in fostering deep customer loyalty and significantly increasing Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) by focusing strategically on our returning customers.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing sophisticated email marketing and retargeting campaigns designed to re-engage, nurture, and retain our valuable customer base, ensuring they continue to choose us for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Marketing Strategy: Develop, execute, and optimize end-to-end email marketing campaigns specifically designed to re-engage, nurture, and retain existing customers. Focus vigorously on improving email conversion rates for repeat purchases and reducing unsubscription rates while enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Retargeting Campaign Management: Design and manage effective retargeting strategies across various digital channels (e.g., display ads, social media, search) to bring back lapsed customers and encourage consistent repeat purchases.
  • Audience Segmentation & Personalization: Conduct deep audience segmentation and personalization to deliver highly relevant, timely, and impactful communications tailored to different customer cohorts and their unique journey stages.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Implement rigorous A/B testing and multivariate testing across all email campaigns and retargeting ads to continuously improve performance metrics, refine messaging, and enhance overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and provide comprehensive reports on key retention marketing KPIs. This includes, but is not limited to, email open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates (especially for returning customers), unsubscription rates, repeat purchase rate, customer churn, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly cross-functionally with product, content, analytics, and sales teams to ensure a consistent, cohesive, and delightful customer journey from acquisition through retention.
  • Platform Management: Manage and optimize relationships with email service providers (ESPs) and retargeting platforms, leveraging their full capabilities to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Industry Trends & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive trends in retention marketing, email automation, customer segmentation, and personalization to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in retention marketing, CRM, or email marketing roles with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with leading email marketing platforms customer.io preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions that impact business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of significantly improving key metrics such as email conversion rates, open rates, and effectively reducing unsubscription rates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing concepts clearly and persuasively.

Preferred Questions:

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment within the Home Service industry.
  • Familiarity with advanced A/B testing methodologies and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) principles.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation and AI in marketing contexts.
