Game Designer for Casual Puzzle Games

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Game Designer to join our team and work on innovative hybrid casual puzzle games. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of market research, game design expertise, and excellent collaboration skills. You will be responsible for generating fresh and exciting game ideas, managing the development process, and guiding the team to create engaging and fun gameplay experiences. Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends to generate fresh and unique game ideas every month.

• Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring the team stays on track and meets deadlines.

• Oversee level design, creating compelling and enjoyable puzzles that engage players at every stage of the game.

• Balance game mechanics and difficulty, ensuring smooth progression and a fun user experience (UX).

• Work closely with artists to provide art direction and ensure the visual style aligns with the game design.

• Collaborate with developers to implement game mechanics, features, and balancing.

• Playtest games regularly, providing detailed feedback on gameplay, mechanics, and overall experience to ensure high quality and polish.

• Design new features and refine existing ones based on user feedback and analytics.

• Continuously improve and optimize game design and level progression.

• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure the game reaches its full potential in the market.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Game Designer, with a focus on hybrid casual or puzzle games.

• Strong product management skills, with experience leading teams of developers, artists, and other stakeholders.

• Expertise in level design, game balancing, and difficulty tuning.

• Ability to create engaging and fun UX/UI elements, with attention to player progression and retention.

• Familiarity with the hybrid casual genre, understanding player expectations and preferences.

• Strong art direction skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists and create a cohesive visual experience.

• Experience with uploading games to app stores and working with the submission process.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead Zoom meetings and collaborate across teams.

• A passion for playtesting and providing actionable feedback to improve game quality.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and juggle multiple tasks.
