About the Role
This opportunity is for a QA Software Engineer to support high-quality software delivery across APIs and web applications in a fast-moving product environment.
This role is focused on building and executing effective test strategies, expanding automation coverage, and improving quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The position works closely with engineering teams to identify issues early, strengthen release confidence, and support scalable testing practices across modern software systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and execute test strategies for APIs and web applications
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and UI testing
- Establish and enforce software testing best practices, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure strong test coverage and early defect detection
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development workflow
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and recommend improvements to product quality
- Stay current on testing tools, trends, and methodologies to continuously improve QA processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Strong experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, or Playwright
- Solid knowledge of programming languages such as Go, Rust, JavaScript, or Python for test automation
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as K6, JMeter, or Gatling
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a CI/CD environment
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Allure, or similar platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with security testing and related best practices
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with contract testing using tools such as Pact
Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 per year
