What We’ll Call You:
Retention Marketing Manager
What We’re Seeking:
5280 Brands is hiring an execution-driven Retention Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market lifecycle strategy for two new brands debuting in October 2025—a performance focused athletic supplement brand and a wellness centric mocktail brand, both built for Gen Z and Millennial consumers.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape and scale two brand identities from day one. You’ll build and execute integrated retention strategies across email, SMS, organic social, and website, helping us bring these brands to life and drive deep customer engagement from the first touchpoint forward.
You’ll develop and manage full-funnel lifecycle marketing—owning campaign calendars, automated flows, and content roadmaps. You'll also contribute to our Shopify site builds and app integrations, ensuring the tech stack supports high-converting, on-brand user experiences. You’ll report directly to our RetentionMarketing Director and work closely with Creative, Acquisition, and Web teams to deliver performance-driven, customer-centric campaigns.
This role is perfect for a well-rounded retention marketer who thrives in fast-paced environments. You should be equally strong in strategic planning and tactical execution, with experience launching retention systems from scratch and a deep understanding of how to use content, timing, and segmentation to build loyalty and drive LTV.
Why Join Us?
This is a high-impact role in a high-growth environment—where your ideas, systems, and execution will help define the trajectory of two brands from day one. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, the support to grow, and a direct line to decision-makers.
At 5280 Brands, you’ll join a lean, talented team obsessed with performance, storytelling, and building things the right way. You’ll receive a competitive compensation package—including equity after 90 days—and the opportunity to help build not just brands, but the next generation of wellness experiences. If you're ready to do the best work of your career and help launch two standout brands into the market, let’s talk.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect and Execute Launch-Ready Retention Systems: Design and implement full-funnel retention strategies across email, SMS, and organic social to support the go-to-market plan for two new brands. Your work will establish the foundational systems that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value from day one.
- Build Pre- and Post-Launch Campaigns and Flows: Lead the creation and deployment of launch campaigns, lifecycle automations, and content flows for DTC. You’ll map out the customer journey pre-launch and post-purchase, ensuring every message is personalized, timely, and conversion-optimized.
- Develop Campaign Calendars and Brand Messaging: Own the monthly campaign calendar, helping establish each brand’s tone of voice and marketing cadence. You’ll lead content strategy for email, SMS, and social, contribute copywriting when needed, and ensure alignment across channels to support cohesive, compelling storytelling.
- Launch with a Performance Mindset: Set and deliver against channel-specific KPIs (LTV, AOV, open/click rates, conversion rate, etc.) for each brand, with clear financial targets. You’ll balance brand-building with performance marketing to ensure retention channels contribute meaningfully to revenue goals.
- Use Data to Drive Decisions: Build reporting dashboards and track performance for all retention initiatives. You’ll analyze customer data and campaign results to inform segmentation, content strategies, and tactical decisions—constantly optimizing for growth.
- Own Segmentation and Personalization: Develop intelligent audience segmentation strategies that align with brand positioning and product launches. You'll tailor messaging by behavior, lifecycle stage, and channel to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Run Experiments to Learn and Scale: Use A/B testing to refine subject lines, send times, creative assets, copy, and incentives—learning what works and scaling winners quickly to maximize retention and revenue.
- Manage Campaign Execution End-to-End: Coordinate timelines, briefs, and content across internal teams and stakeholders. You’ll lead campaign project management from ideation through analysis, ensuring all assets are delivered on time and at high quality.
- Support Tech Stack Setup and Optimization: Help build and manage Shopify site infrastructure and app integrations related to retention marketing—ensuring a seamless tech foundation to support data collection, automation, and performance tracking.
- Identify and Scale Growth Opportunities: Continuously identify new retention levers across email, SMS, and organic social—developing strategies to improve engagement, drive repeat purchases, and build brand advocates.
