5280 Brands is on the hunt for an exceptional Acquisition Marketing Director to join our leadership team and drive the next phase of growth across our family of natural wellness brands: Orinoco (launching Q3 2025), R&R CBD, and Summit. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your expertise will directly influence our ability to scale and succeed in the competitive CPG e-commerce space. We’re looking for a visionary leader with a proven track record in building and executing successful e-commerce acquisition strategies, managing high-performing teams, and delivering measurable results.
As the Acquisition Marketing Director, you will own and lead our e-commerce acquisition strategy across a diverse range of channels. You will develop, implement, and manage data-driven ad campaigns on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (including Ads, Shopping, and YouTube), TikTok, X, Reddit, Pinterest, and emerging digital spaces. Beyond paid media, you will spearhead our influencer marketing program, creating impactful partnerships with creators that align with each of our brand’s values, and manage strategic partnership, including connected TV campaigns and podcast advertising.
This role is perfect for a dynamic, results-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. You’ll report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer and work closely with other marketing leaders to create and implement strategies that drive customer acquisition and brand growth. Beyond execution, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our marketing team by identifying key hires, leading team members, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This position will begin with a focus on hands-on execution to establish our customer acquisition strategies and drive immediate results. As the business grows, you will take the lead in building and managing a dedicated acquisition team, while maintaining a hands-on role to address key business needs. Simply put, we’re looking for a doer and a leader.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead E-Commerce Acquisition Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive acquisition/ad strategy across channels such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Ads, Shopping, YouTube, and more), TikTok, X, Reddit, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms. Analyze performance data regularly to identify trends and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
- Oversee Paid Media Campaigns: Plan, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand goals and delivering measurable results profitably. Conduct ongoing testing and experimentation to refine audience targeting and creative effectiveness.
- Drive Influencer and Partnership Strategies: Develop and manage influencer marketing initiatives, connected TV campaigns, and podcast sponsorships to expand the reach of our brands. Build long-term relationships with partners to amplify our voice and drive brand awareness.
- Develop and Scale Product Seeding & Ambassador Programs: Build and manage a comprehensive product seeding and ambassador program to increase brand awareness and organic reach. Identify and cultivate relationships with brand ambassadors, influencers, and community advocates to drive engagement and credibility.
- Guide Creative Development: Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to identify and produce high-performing assets tailored to each marketing channel. Ensure that all creative aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.
- Manage Budgets and Timelines: Oversee marketing budgets for acquisition efforts, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely delivery of campaigns. Proactively identify opportunities to maximize value within budget constraints.
- Implement Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics and insights to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and provide regular reporting on performance metrics and ROI. Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic adjustments.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other marketing leaders, including retention and creative teams, to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns. Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Build and Lead the Acquisition Team: Act as the cornerstone of our customer acquisition efforts, executing strategies while identifying key roles to hire. Create a roadmap for team growth, establish clear KPIs, and lead team members to achieve their full potential.
- Oversee SEO and Organic Traffic Efforts: Develop and execute strategies to increase organic visibility and drive traffic through search engine optimization. Ensure content and technical SEO best practices are implemented across all web properties to maximize rankings and organic growth.
- Manage Affiliate and PR Efforts: Lead the development and management of affiliate marketing programs to drive customer acquisition. Oversee PR efforts to establish and maintain strong relationships with affiliates, media outlets, and other partners, amplifying brand credibility and reach.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously research and implement industry best practices and emerging trends to maintain a competitive edge in the market. Identify new platforms and opportunities to innovate and drive growth.

- $120,000 - $150,000 base salary

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
- 7+ years of e-commerce / digital marketing advertising experience required.
- Experience with Meta ads, Google’s suite of products (Ads, Shopping, Youtube, Analytics, and more) TikTok, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Shopify, Triple Whale, Notion, Figma, Google Suite, Slack, and other marketing software required.
- Experience leading an acquisition marketing team is required.
- Experience leading agency partnerships is required.
- Copywriting skills/experience is required.
- Experience using AI for content/ad creation is a significant plus.
