Job Title: UX Designer – Site Optimization & Testing
Location: Remote | EST Hours Required
Type: Freelance | Full-Time Hours
Duration: Ongoing (Long-Term Potential)
About the Role
Our client, a leading SaaS company, is hiring a UX Designer to join their in-house marketing UX team. This role focuses on optimizing the company’s marketing website and landing pages to improve performance across key metrics like conversion rate (CVR), bounce rate, and lead quality.
You’ll be embedded in a performance-focused pod alongside marketers, developers, and analysts—shipping and iterating fast in a test-and-learn environment. The work is hands-on, data-informed, and entirely centered on top-of-funnel web experiences that drive trials, signups, and demos.
This is not product UX, branding, or research-heavy design. You’ll be designing site-side UX informed by heatmaps, analytics, and performance data—then rapidly turning those insights into testable user flows, wireframes, and UI updates.
What You’ll Do
- Design and iterate landing pages, lead funnels, and web experiences that improve conversion and engagement
- Build UX flows, wireframes, and responsive UI that align with design systems and brand standards
- Analyze user behavior through heatmaps, bounce rates, scroll depth, and other site metrics to inform design decisions
- Partner closely with marketing, growth, analytics, and dev teams to define hypotheses and run A/B tests
- Simplify complex messages and CTAs into high-performing, digestible web layouts
- Work independently in a fast-paced agile pod — rapidly executing and iterating on UX solutions
- Contribute to scalable, modular design structures that allow for ongoing testing and optimization
Who You Are
- Experienced UX or web designer with a strong background in conversion optimization or performance design
- Comfortable designing in Figma and working with agile teams to ship site experiences quickly
- Skilled at interpreting site analytics and applying insights to improve the user journey
- Portfolio shows measurable impact on marketing site performance (conversion rate, lead quality, demo signups, etc.)
- Highly independent, confident in your UX POV, and comfortable working without hand-holding
- Experience in SaaS, tech, or agency environments is a plus
- Must work EST hours and participate in daily collaboration with cross-functional pods
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, etc.)
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Webflow, WordPress)
- Understanding of SEO best practices and how they influence UX decisions
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for front-end handoff (not required)
