Our Client a Global Beauty Brand is seeking a Product Development Marketing Manager Level Freelancer to support the Makeup category, working closely with the Director of Global Product Marketing apart of the great Product Development Team.
This individual will help shape and implement strategies for new product development, category growth, and community-inspired innovation. This role offers the chance to blend strategic thinking with a deep understanding of beauty, trends, and consumer insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Global Product Marketing to develop global strategies for the makeup category, its subcategories, and hero products
- Assist in managing and executing product portfolio strategies and marketing plans
- Support calendar planning and coordinate deliverables for future product launches
- Prepare presentations for senior leadership; lead or support cross-functional meetings on behalf of the Product Marketing team
- Analyze industry and sales trends, emerging behaviors, and competitive movements to inform strategic direction
- Contribute core marketing inputs to the development process (e.g., market insights, consumer claims, copy, product positioning, pricing)
- Help build a long-term innovation pipeline using community feedback, CRM data, and industry trends
- Drive the makeup category strategy for 2026 and beyond, working with product development to ensure alignment with overall brand and market objectives
- Support education and storytelling efforts that drive sustained product recognition, replenishment, and customer loyalty
- Manage a listening platform to gather and integrate internal community feedback into marketing and product strategies
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in product marketing, with specific expertise in the color cosmetics category
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while staying collaborative
- Strategic mindset paired with strong attention to detail and execution
- Excellent visual and verbal presentation skills; comfortable presenting to both senior and executive teams
- Adaptable in fast-paced, shifting environments
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems across functions
- Analytical, data-driven, and results-focused
- Passion for the beauty industry and a strong sense for emerging trends and innovation
- Skilled at translating insights into impactful and actionable strategies
