Workflow Automation Engineer (Google Workspace + AI) - PT - APAC

Engagement: Part-time, ongoing, about 8–10 hrs/week

About the role

We're a Singapore-based professional services firm with a small, non-technical team. Many of our client services run on repeatable manual processes, and we want a hands-on automation specialist to connect our tools, remove manual handoffs, and structure our data so we can use AI effectively. You'll be our go-to technical partner, both building solutions and advising on the right tools as our needs grow.

What you'll do

• Automate our client onboarding flow end to end. A new engagement triggers the engagement letter, the client completes and e-signs it, a client-opening form is sent automatically, key data is extracted from ID documents for human review, and follow-up requests go out automatically.
• Recommend the right tooling for each process (Google Apps Script, n8n, or other options), with clear cost and maintenance trade-offs.
• Structure and organize our data (Sheets, Drive, forms) so it is clean, consistent and ready for AI use.
• Identify and automate further repeatable processes across our services on an ongoing basis.
• Document each workflow so a non-technical team can understand and maintain it.
• Scope each piece of work in plain language and estimate effort upfront.

Requirements

• 3+ years building business process automations
• Strong with Google Workspace: Apps Script, Sheets, Forms, Drive, Gmail
• Hands-on experience with a workflow automation platform such as n8n, Make or Zapier
• Experience integrating e-signature tools (Adobe Sign, DocuSign, Google eSignature or similar)
• Experience with document data extraction (OCR or LLM-based) and with data structuring
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders and turning loose requirements into working solutions
• Self-directed and reliable within an agreed weekly hours budget

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM tools or APIs (e.g. Claude) in business workflows
• Background automating client onboarding or KYC-style processes for professional services firms
• Based in Southeast Asia
