We are seeking a certified Workday Payroll Consultant to provide technical support, process optimization, and knowledge transfer for a payroll team using Workday. The consultant will troubleshoot issues, streamline EIBs and integrations, create SOPs, and train the team to maximize efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on Workday Payroll configuration, troubleshooting discrepancies, and real-time system navigation support.
- Design, modify, and optimize EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) for payroll data loads, corrections, and integrations with HRIS/IT teams.
- Develop custom payroll reports, audit logs, and analytics; ensure compliance with tax, deductions, and wage calculations in Workday.
- Configure and optimize pay groups, earnings, deductions, and pay schedules; recommend workflow automations.
- Create detailed SOPs and process guides (with screenshots) for payroll workflows, EIBs, reporting, and error resolution.
- Conduct training sessions and Q&A meetings to upskill the payroll team on Workday functionality.
Requirements
- Workday Payroll Certification (mandatory).
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience, including EIBs, integrations, and reporting.
- Deep technical knowledge of Workday security roles, business processes, and payroll configurations.
- Proven ability to train non-technical teams and create user-friendly documentation (SOPs, guides).
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues and optimizing payroll workflows.
Optional Additions (if needed)
- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation or Time Tracking (if relevant).
- Familiarity with global payroll compliance (if applicable).
