Wordpress Developer and Web Designer

We are a small yet dynamic digital marketing agency specializing in creating tailored solutions for our clients. While the majority of our projects cater to small businesses (like corner stores and local enterprises) seeking simple eCommerce or lead-generation websites, we occasionally take on larger, more complex projects. This role is specifically for one of those high-impact projects, requiring a developer with strong backend PHP expertise and a passion for tackling challenging tasks.

Key Responsibilities

As a WordPress Developer, you will:

• Work on diverse projects, including front-end and backend development.
• Build custom WordPress websites using Gutenberg Blocks and Elementor while coding pages and elements from scratch.
• Develop and maintain custom themes and plugins.
• Create web pages without relying on pre-built themes or builders when required.
• Handle tasks like backend setup, plugin creation, and implementing blocked themes.
• Occasionally perform basic tasks such as product uploads or minor content updates.
• Adhere to strict internal procedures and coding standards.

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Strong proficiency in PHP, with experience in backend development.
• Advanced knowledge of WordPress, particularly Gutenberg Blocks and Elementor.
• Experience in coding custom pages and components from scratch.
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude when faced with challenging projects.
• The ability to work on multiple projects with varying scopes and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Work Hours and Availability

• Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week (candidates available for 20–40 hours are encouraged to apply).
• Initial trial: Start with 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 40 hours based on performance.
• Availability through December to complete the project, with potential for ongoing work post-project.
