Website Developer for GitHub Pages Optimization

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Website Developer to transform an existing Google Sites academic website into a GitHub Pages site. The objective is to enhance the website’s functionality and optimize it for both search engines and Language Model Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Migrate the current Google Sites website to a GitHub Pages platform, ensuring all content is accurately transferred and functional.
• Optimize the website for search engine visibility, employing best practices for SEO to improve ranking and accessibility.
• Implement strategies to enhance the website’s compatibility and visibility for Language Model Models (LLMs).
• Ensure the website is responsive and user-friendly across various devices and browsers.
• Maintain the website’s academic focus while enhancing its aesthetic and functional appeal.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for website development and optimization.
• Experience with GitHub Pages and version control using Git.
• Strong understanding of SEO techniques and best practices.
• Ability to optimize content for Language Model Models (LLMs).

Nice to Have

• Experience with academic content presentation and website design.
