Web Designer for Premium Tutoring Website

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Web Designer to create a visually stunning and functional premium tutoring website. The project involves designing a sophisticated platform for IB English, TOK, IGCSE, AP, and college essays, with a focus on quiet-luxury editorial design using Webflow and implementing a membership paywall.

Responsibilities

• Develop 8–9 unique page designs, with approximately 12 pages at launch, built to expand via CMS.
• Design core pages such as Home, About, Contact/Booking, and College Essays.
• Create a subject hub template for CMS, covering IB English Lang & Lit, TOK, IGCSE, and AP.
• Develop component page templates for IO, HL Essay, Paper One/Two, TOK Essay/Exhibition, which will serve as SEO landing pages.
• Design a gated members' area featuring a video library and lesson page template using Memberstack or Outseta.
• Ensure integration with Stripe for payments, Calendly for bookings, YouTube/Vimeo for video embeds, and schema markup for SEO.
• Adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA standards and ensure the website's LCP is under 2.5 seconds.
• Implement a 5-item navigation menu with a 'Subjects' dropdown and a persistent booking CTA on every page.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Webflow for CMS development and design.
• Experience with quiet-luxury editorial design, emphasizing serif-led typography and minimal decoration.
• Proficiency in using Figma for design-first processes, including journey mapping, wireframes, and full design systems.
• Familiarity with implementing membership paywalls and gated content using Memberstack or similar platforms.
• Experience in integrating Stripe, Calendly, and video embeds from YouTube/Vimeo.
• Knowledge of schema markup for SEO and Google Analytics 4 for tracking conversion events.

Nice to Have

• A portfolio showcasing work in an editorial, typography-led design style.
• Experience with similar projects involving gated content and membership builds.
