We are seeking a highly skilled Trading Algo Developer with extensive experience in algorithm creation and development, particularly within the trading sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in statistical learning and software engineering to drive innovation and efficiency in our trading systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sophisticated trading algorithms tailored to specific market needs.
- Utilize statistical learning techniques to enhance algorithm performance and predict market trends.
- Collaborate with a team of developers to refine and optimize existing trading strategies.
- Continuously monitor and adjust algorithms to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Document all development processes and results for future reference and analysis.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in C++ and Python programming, with a focus on algorithm development.
- Strong background in statistical learning and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in the trading industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Experience in high-frequency trading environments.
- Familiarity with financial markets and trading platforms.
- Ability to execute and run algorithms in collaboration notebooks or similar environments.
- Proficiency in writing and testing algorithms in R.
- Capability to defend written algorithms via the LEAN theory framework.
- Experience using QuantConnect and multiple engines in a hybrid framework.
- Skills in data recollection and deep data visualization based on 3D concepts.
- Prior experience as a quant or in a similar position, with AI literacy.
- Quantitative experience and knowledge of machine and statistical learning.
- Strong fundamentals in statistics, Python, and market mechanics.
- Experience building, validating, or running strategies, with knowledge of walk-forward testing, Monte Carlo simulations, execution costs, and regime effects.
- Experience owning a strategy book, research pipeline, or execution stack; ability to set gate thresholds, challenge assumptions, and mentor across the team.
- Comfortable troubleshooting across the stack, including databases, message queues, containers, APIs, and broker connections.
- Ability to read and write code collaboratively and document findings for future reference.
