.Job Title: Technical SEO Specialist (Part-Time, 10 hours per week)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical SEO Specialist to maintain and improve our site's internal link structure, focusing on ensuring the health of our website's SEO framework. This part-time role (10 hours per week) will primarily involve fixing broken links, ensuring HTTP links are updated to HTTPS, and adding internal links to orphan pages. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Head of Content Strategy to support our growing publishing cadence, which includes 15 top-of-funnel posts, 5 thought leadership articles, and 5 user guides per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and address weekly reports of broken links, 404 pages, and HTTP URLs, ensuring links are updated or removed as needed.
- Ensure internal links are added to orphan pages to support content discoverability and SEO.
- Regularly update meta descriptions, alt tags, and Open Graph settings to improve search visibility and social sharing.
- Assist with image compression for larger images, ensuring they are optimized without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with the content team to maintain a healthy internal link structure, ensuring all content is properly linked to relevant pages.
- Maintain a weekly report log to ensure all tasks are completed by the end of each week. Our Head of Content Strategy will provide the report of broken links + orphan pages from Ahrefs so you will know exactly what needs to be fixed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical SEO, with a focus on internal linking strategies.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including meta descriptions, alt tags, and Open Graph settings.
- Experience with image compression tools and techniques would be ideal, but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet weekly deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving technical SEO issues.
What You’ll Be Provided:

What We Expect:
- The ability to continuously work on and complete SEO tasks throughout the week autonomously (Our Head of Content Strategy does not like to micromanage and would need to have trust that the jobs are getting done well and on time)
- Familiarity with our internal workflows and content finder tools (training will be provided).
Additional Notes:
- You will not be responsible for site speed optimizations (handled by another team member).
- Strong communication skills to ensure seamless updates and progress reports.
