Technical Product Manager - Part-time - EMEA

About the Company

Client is a fast growing startup, building an AI-powered valuation product for the insurance industry. The MVP is built in Flutter, and now we need to scale the product with a more robust backend. We're focused on integrating large language models and various AI tools.

Role Overview:

As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between product management and engineering. You will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, setting up the development process, and ensuring the product is built to the highest standards. Your coding skills and technical expertise will be essential in establishing best practices and driving the product from conception to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and translate it into a detailed roadmap that aligns with business goals.
• Technical Foundation: Lay the foundation for the development phase by setting up best practices in coding, documentation, and development processes.
• Hands-On Coding: Contribute directly to the codebase, primarily in Node.js and TypeScript, to kickstart the development and set coding standards. (Preferred)
• Development Process Setup: Establish a structured development environment, including setting up agile practices, sprint planning, and task management.
• CI/CD Pipeline: Design and implement a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to streamline development workflows.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specs, and user guides.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager in a tech-driven environment.

• Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in setting up agile processes for development teams.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate through complex technical challenges.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Tools: Proficiency in using product management and development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
