Sr. Fullstack Mobile Developer (Android-leaning) - FT - NA/LATAM

Role Overview

TriAxle is seeking a senior Android-focused mobile engineer to help accelerate development on a live mobile application. You’ll work closely with a junior iOS developer and a part-time tech lead, providing hands-on development, technical guidance, and architectural support.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shipping features, unblocking teammates, and improving systems in an existing production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development on the Android application and contribute to mobile architecture decisions
• Mentor and support a junior developer on complex technical challenges
• Collaborate across mobile, backend, and infrastructure workstreams
• Improve development workflows and release processes
• Actively write production code to accelerate sprint delivery

Tech Stack

• Infrastructure: Cloud hosting (AWS-like), CI/CD
• Auth: Keycloak
• Backend: MongoDB, lightweight services
• Mobile: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift)
• Web: React (internal admin UI)
• Third-party: Twilio, Mailgun

Must-Have Skillsets

• Senior-level experience building and maintaining Android applications
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns
• Experience working with existing production codebases
• Solid understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization flows
• Ability to debug, refactor, and improve legacy or inherited code
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with junior engineers

• Experience with geospatial systems or Mapbox
• Experience hosting datasets or tile servers
