Sr. DevOps Engineer (GCP/Docker/) - FT Freelance - Worldwide

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on enhancing scalability, reliability, and deployment infrastructure within our organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our systems are running efficiently on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while optimizing for performance and cost.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Scale core API endpoints to efficiently handle increasing traffic and ensure optimal performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on GCP to support business needs.
• Ensure compliance with data location and residency requirements.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain system health and performance.
• Optimize cloud costs through strategic planning and resource management.
• Enhance developer tooling and improve local development environments to boost productivity.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (specifically Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI).
• Proficiency in using Docker for containerization.
• Expertise in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, with a preference for Terraform.

Nice to Have

• Experience with compliance, particularly in data residency and privacy.
• Familiarity with designing and maintaining high-availability systems.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
