Must-Have Skills

JavaScript & Backend Strong JavaScript fundamentals. Experience with message queues and distributed systems, particularly AWS SQS or similar. Comfortable reasoning about async workflows, retries, and failure modes.

Frontend Solid frontend development skills with Vue.js or Svelte preferred. Strong grasp of responsive design and cross-device development. No React required.

DevOps & Infrastructure Working knowledge of Docker, cloud deployments (AWS preferred), and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Cloudflare is a plus.

Developer Practices Proficient with Git, trunk-based development, and automated testing (unit, integration, and/or e2e). Writes code that's easy to review and safe to merge.

AI & LLMs Demonstrated experience working with large language models and Al agents.

Understanding of prompt engineering, token management, context window constraints, and integrating LLM APIs into production systems.

Auth & Security Understanding of modern authentication and authorisation patterns - experience with Firebage Auth, Autho, Clerk, or similar identity platforms.
