Senior Web Developer - Part-Time - Overlap with EST

Project Overview

Alex is developing an online sailing simulator web game using Svelte and Node.js. The project is currently in progress, with approximately 20 components and several routes already built. The application is deployed on AWS using Docker containers. The ideal candidate will help "get over the finish line" by contributing to the final stages of development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the client to finalize the sailing simulator web game, ensuring it is production-ready and globally deployable.
• Develop and enhance existing components and routes using Svelte and Node.js.
• Work with AWS and Docker to maintain and optimize the deployment pipeline.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Participate in weekly sync meetings to align on deliverables and progress.
• Submit weekly work reports detailing tasks completed and hours worked.

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in Svelte, Node.js, and AWS.
• Proven experience deploying production-ready global web applications.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Proactive, collaborative, and able to take ownership of tasks.
