Senior TypeScript Test Engineer

Role Overview

Join our innovative AI-powered application platform as a Senior TypeScript Test Engineer. We are on a mission to enhance our codebase by establishing comprehensive unit test coverage across our monorepo, built on a modern stack including Next.js 15, React 19, Prisma, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade unit tests for API routes, business logic, and data layers, ensuring robust and reliable code.
• Set up and optimize test infrastructure, including mocks, factories, fixtures, and CI/CD integration for seamless testing processes.
• Create and document testing patterns for team-wide adoption, focusing on Vitest framework, Prisma testing strategies, and Next.js API route testing.
• Implement mocking strategies for external services such as Stripe, WorkOS, and various AI providers to ensure comprehensive testing.

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of experience in writing automated tests (unit/integration) within production environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and modern testing frameworks, with a strong preference for Vitest, though Jest is also acceptable.
• Demonstrated experience in testing Next.js App Router API routes and strong familiarity with Prisma ORM testing, including test databases and mocking strategies.
• Proven track record of establishing effective test patterns in existing codebases.

Nice to Have

• Experience with testing financial and billing logic, particularly Stripe integrations.
• Familiarity with authentication provider testing, including WorkOS, Auth0, or similar services.
• Knowledge of monorepo testing strategies, particularly using Turborepo and pnpm workspaces.
• Experience with AI/LLM application testing.
