UTX is seeking a highly skilled Swift developer with expertise in Core ML to enhance its AI-powered fitness tracking app. Our app uses iPhone cameras to analyze users’ movements, offering detailed insights on strength, muscle usage, and recovery needs. The immediate focus is to improve our app's force calculation and rep counting accuracy.
Role Responsibilities
- Optimize real-time force output calculations based on 2D pose estimation
- Refine rep and set counting algorithms to reduce inaccuracies across various exercises
- Design an acceleration curve using Apple's Pose technology, specifically for exercises like squat jumps
- Collaborate with the UTX team to ensure accurate data visualization and on-screen feedback for users
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Swift and Core ML
- Hands-on experience with Apple's Pose technology for motion capture
- Strong understanding of biomechanics and data aggregation for fitness applications
- Ability to deliver complex solutions promptly, ideally within 24-48 hours
Nice to Have
- Background in velocity-based training or real-time feedback systems
- Experience in AI-powered fitness tracking or health-tech products
- Knowledge of 3D video analysis and velocity-based training concepts
