About the Role
We’re looking for a Part-Time Project Manager to take ownership of delivery processes, enabling the engineering team to focus on product development and execution. You’ll bring structure, cadence, and communication excellence to a small, high-output team.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role—ideal for someone who thrives on organizing technical work, running scrums, tracking progress, and ensuring projects move from planning to production smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own day-to-day project coordination, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear visibility into project status, priorities, and dependencies using GitHub Projects (or similar tools).
- Support backlog management and ensure tickets meet the team’s “Definition of Ready.”
- Track timelines, milestones, risks, and blockers—surfacing trade-offs early and clearly.
- Manage QA coordination, documentation, and release communication.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and leadership to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery cycles.
- Continuously improve process efficiency, communication, and automation.
Required Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager, ideally in a startup or software environment.
- Proven experience running agile ceremonies (scrum or kanban).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills—clear, concise, and proactive.
- Proficiency with GitHub Projects, Jira, or similar workflow tools.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers working on modern web stacks (Next.js, TypeScript, Firebase, MongoDB, GraphQL, Python microservices).
- Familiarity with using AI tools to streamline project documentation, coordination, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of project tracking, risk management, and delivery discipline.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or small engineering team environment.
- Basic knowledge of product development processes or product management principles.
- Exposure to analytics, QA processes, or lightweight release documentation.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma, BigQuery, and Looker.
Additional Information
Culture: High ownership, autonomy, and respect for efficiency and transparency.
AI-Positive Environment: The team embraces AI tools to accelerate work and expects similar openness from new team members.
