Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to audit and redesign key workflows in our SaaS platform, TeamHiiv. The primary objective is to simplify complex interactions, reduce cognitive load, and enhance overall usability. This role goes beyond visual aesthetics, requiring a strategic approach to simplifying systems and challenging existing product decisions.
You will be working with an existing, live product and expected to improve and simplify current workflows rather than redesigning from scratch. We need someone who can audit complex product flows, identify friction and redesign key experiences so the platform feels clearer, more intuitive and more professionally resolved.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of existing workflows within the TeamHiiv platform to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify where users get confused, slow down or make mistakes across key flows
- Recommend and redesign higher-leverage improvements rather than incremental UI tweaks
- Redesign key workflows to simplify complex interactions and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to understand user needs and business objectives.
- Challenge and refine current product decisions to ensure they align with usability and user-friendliness.
- Develop and present design proposals that effectively communicate design rationale and user benefits.
Required Skills
- Strong product design experience in complex SaaS or web applications
- Deep experience with workflow design, interaction design and information architecture
- Proven ability to simplify multi-step processes and reduce user friction
- Ability to balance strategic UX thinking with high-quality interface design
- Proficiency in design tools and software relevant to product design.
- Strong communication and ability to explain design decisions clearly (written and Loom)
Ideal Extras
- Experience with AI-enabled products
- Experience in admin, operations, governance or other complex systems
- Experience working closely with founders and developers in fast-moving teams
