About the Role

Coept LLC is seeking a seasoned Power BI Developer with expert-level knowledge in DAX to enhance our data analytics capabilities and meet the growing business intelligence needs of CareTogether’s ministry partners. This role is ideal for a freelance professional passionate about data-driven insights, semantic modeling, and BI solutions tailored for nonprofits. The ideal candidate will not only bring technical expertise but also the interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with customers, gather requirements, validate solutions, and deliver impactful updates.

Required Skills

• Advanced Power BI and DAX expertise: Proficient in creating accurate semantic models, measures, and advanced reporting solutions. Familiarity with The Definitive Guide to DAX by Russo & Ferrari is highly desired.
• Customer Interaction: Excellent spoken and written English skills to interface directly with customers, gather and refine requirements, validate solutions, and provide updates.
• Independence: Ability to work autonomously, representing CareTogether effectively with our customers while developing BI solutions aligned with our mission.

Nice to Have Skills

• Power BI Embedding Experience: Knowledge of Power BI AppSource and embedding reports, with a future potential transition to Fabric-based embedded reports by Q1 2025.
• C# and OData: Background in C# and OData is advantageous for candidates interested in supporting backend data engineering. CareTogether uses a unique in-memory data storage format, exposed to Power BI through OData.

Additional Information

This is a freelance role suitable for developers with some overlap in working hours with Coept LLC’s current contractors in São Paulo, Brazil. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to a mission-driven project designed to empower nonprofit ministries in family preservation.
